Wills and Probate
Our experienced solicitors can help you plan for the future and deal with the unexpected. We can assist you with the following:
Wills and Trusts
Making a Will can be daunting prospect. We can help you make a Will to ensure that after your death your assets are distributed in the way you would have wanted.
We can also advise you on setting up a Trust either as part of your Will or as a lifetime settlement. A trust can be a very effective way to manage and protect your assets both now and after your death.
We can assist you in dealing with the legal processes that arise after a bereavement. We will help you value the estate, submit the appropriate application to the Probate Registry, gather in and distribute the estate and deal with any tax issues which may arise.
Lasting Powers of Attorney
Making a Lasting Power of Attorney is your opportunity to appoint people you trust to look after your affairs in the event that you lose capacity to do so yourself. There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney – one is for Property and Financial Affairs and one is for Health and Welfare matters. We can help you prepare one or both types of Lasting Power of Attorney and ensure they are registered at the Office of the Public Guardian.
We can also advise and assist you with applications to the Court of Protection, the making of Statutory Wills and Living Wills or Advance Directives.
